The Ultimate Marvel Nostalgia by Eric S Brown

Back in the 1980’s, there was no Google or even an internet. People relied entirely on other means for their news. Marvel had released fan magazine before but at that time, they took things to a whole other level. Each month, for a far lesser price than a standard comic, a new issue of Marvel Age hit the newsstands. Marvel Age was part news magazine, part fanzine, and part promotional flyer. It became a massive hit with hardcore Marvel fans and the series ran for numerous years even getting its own over sized annuals.

Now, Marvel Comics has released a Marvel Age omnibus! Weighing in at a whooping 1192 pages, this hardcover collects issues 1-34 and Marvel Age annual 1. The normal cover is the wrap around art from the cover of the first Marvel Age annual, but there’s also a variant cover featuring Vision and Scarlet Witch.

One thing that makes the Marvel Age omnibus even more special is that it’s among the first books released that features both the Micronauts and Rom the Space Knight. Marvel only recently got back the print rights to those characters after having lost them for over three decades. Further making the book a must have for any Marvel omnibus collector.
