The Alien from Mars by Celine Rose Mariotti

He stuck out like a dinosaur,
No, I mean he sure wasn’t no dinosaur,
Oh, no, he was a Martian,
Yes, that’s what he was,
He was green,
Yes, indeed,
Green face, green body,
Yellow eyes,
Robotic ears,
Robotic hands,
An electronic-type voice,
He rang my doorbell,
Just like an Earthling would,
I opened the door, and he came right in,
Yep, he did, just sauntered right in,
He wore what might be a watch,
But it was a lot more than that,
It had a power beyond any
watch we have on Earth,
it had a beaming light,
and it could change day to night,
it could make things appear and disappear,
from sight,
it could make things levitate as though in flight,
Yep, this Martian had the magic touch,
He had a magic ring on his robotic finger,
with this ring anything was a possibility,
I made a pot of coffee,
he sat down and joined me,
he stayed for a couple of days,
then we parted ways,
I know he returned to Mars,
I see him when I look at the stars!
